The National High Magnetic Laboratory is known around the world for its contribution to scientific research and the ground-breaking formation of unique materials. Laura H. Greene is the Chief Scientist at the National High Magnetic Field and the Francis Eppes Professor of Physics at Florida State University. Laura will talk with Brien about her early love of science, her current areas of research and her connection to the global scientific community. Laura is an able ambassador for our community. As the MagLab’s chief scientist, she is called upon frequently to speak at conferences and symposiuums around the world, and is always pleased to share with those in attendance, her love of Tallahassee.
FSU Chair of Art Education and Professor of Art Therapy Dave Gussak will talk with Brien about his new book, and the on-going work he is conducting in the profession of Art Therapy. Dave’s work has helped to advance this remarkable therapeutic approach and bring much-needed direction to professionals looking to advance their understanding. The application of Art Therapy in the criminal justice system among inmates will be of particular interest to our listeners.
