This Week

In the Bible, singing is a powerful spiritual weapon, a form of active obedience, and a pathway to joy. It is frequently used to shift atmospheres, unify believers, and bring deliverance. In our world, those songsters who bring us songs of celebration, healing, and affirmation help us find our own joyful pathway.

The upcoming performance of the Broadway-like production “Voices: A Folk Opera” is scheduled for June 18, 2026, at Goodwood Museum in Tallahassee, featuring an all-star cast of nine soloists, a full chorus, and 10 local musicians, including Chris Skene, Avis Berry, and The New 76ers. Conceived and co-written by the late Kathryn Belle Long in collaboration with her personal and professional partner Mickey Abraham, and then produced by Log Cabin Studio’s Kris Kolp, “Voices” tells the story of Belle, a fictional character loosely based on Kathryn’s life.

Mickey and Kris will talk with Brien about the many years and the many people who worked to bring the story to life in this remarkable production.
