Within the competitive, more often contentious climate of local politics, some try to remain focused on the business of governance. It requires a certain degree of detachment from the more dramatic and a stronger determination to see the job through to its end.
Leon County Commissioner District 4, Brian Welch, came to the role of serving the people of Leon County after spending nearly 20 years as a high school history teacher. As a Commissioner, he often finds himself operating in a similar capacity, trying to help his constituents better understand the most significant aspects of complex policy decisions.
Brian will talk with Brien about the recent improvements to District 4 infrastructure and those projects that remain.
