The future of Tallahassee’s energy management and transportation controls are the focus of some new research emerging as a collaboration between the College of Communication and the School of Engineering at Florida State University. As one of only four cities in the nation to be awarded a National Science Foundation grant for this type of research, the 18-month study will consider Tallahassee DigiTally app that has not been widely utilized thus far. Dr. Jinghui Hou and her team will be studying our behavior and soliciting input from focus groups in order to create a more interactive and information application of this technology that could impact Tallahassee for decades.
